'Na mijn opleiding tot cardiothoracaal chirurg in het UMCG ben ik in 2004 toegetreden tot de staf cardiothoracale chirurgie van het UMCG in Groningen. Naast de algemene cardiale chirurgie en de hart- en longtransplantaties heb ik mij voornamelijk toegelegd op de operaties aan de mitralisklep, met name minimaal invasieve mitralisklep reparaties.'
